Rachel LaCour Niesen
Rachel LaCour Niesen is an Atlanta, Ga based photographer specializing in documentary photography. She has pursued photography projects focusing on rural communities in Latin America and the Southeastern United States. Her work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, STIR Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Columbia Missourian. Most recently, her photographs were chosen for a book entitled The Human Cost of Food; Farmworker's Lives, Labor and Advocacy, published by the University of Texas Press. She received her bachelor's degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri, where she was named one of the Scripps-Howard Foundation's Top Ten Scholars.
